Good to do Good

As VP, Corporate Initiatives, I have been fortunate to embark on a large number of extremely diverse initiatives. One that I’m particularly excited about is a partnership with Greater Philadelphia Cares, a non-profit organization that helps over 15,000 volunteers to take part in a wide variety of projects that have a dramatic impact on the lives of residents in need. Each month, Greater Philadelphia Cares offers over 100 flexible, diverse service opportunities, as well as customized service projects for civic and corporate groups. Volunteers serve individually or with their friends, families, or co-workers.

In May, the leadership team will participate in our first act of volunteerism when we will take on an area in Kensington, PA and help restore it. The wheels are in motion and there seems to be a lot of excitement around this. While we prepare for May 25th, Karima and I attended the 17th Annual GPC Corporate Leadership breakfast at the Union League. Over 300 attendees and an impressive roster of presenters from Mayor Michael Nutter to WPVI news anchor Tamara Edwards. It was inspirational and made we want to not only do more but share my experience with all of you. Stay tuned for more information about our efforts but in the meantime, checkout GPC or, finds a local agency and get involved!
