Even took a rickshaw ride through Times Square, how totally touristy and fun is that?
Although I couldn’t take pictures within the hall, this video narrated by the exhibition curator, Andrew Bolton, and the below photos are as close as you’re going to get to seeing it if you can’t make it by the already extended date of August 7th...http://blog.metmuseum.org/alexandermcqueen/about/I’m convinced now more than ever that McQueen is my all-time favorite designer and a true visionary whose work is the most innovative, creative and imaginative that I, or the fashion world, have ever seen. But I don’t know if it’s the collection of one hundred plus ensembles and 70 accessories or, the backdrop on which they are displayed that I was most taken by? Andrew Bolton, the curator of the exhibition Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty, created one of the most fantastic scenes of concrete, glass and other that magically transport you through the many visions of McQueen almost as if you were there at the time of inception…enjoy!
