50 Best Websites

Thanks to TIME magazine, here is a roundup of 2012's best Websites and, sad to say, I only knew of a handful of them!
http://techland.time.com/2012/09/18/50-best-websites-2012/#introduction-2
Wow, if only I had the TIME to explore all of these but, definitely going to look into...

https://ifttt.com/
If This Then That accesses popular web applications via their APIs, and lets users create new actions based on changes. For instance, actions such as “upload photos to Flickr when I add them to my Dropbox folder”.  If it can save me time, I'm in!

http://learni.st/
The Pinterest for Education...did someone say Pinterest?

http://www.theverge.com/
The Verge brings you the best in technology news with in-depth reporting, the latest scoops, original features, and editorials from the smartest team in tech writing.

http://mommyish.com/
Mommyish.com focuses on women aged 30-45 who want to maintain a positive work-life balance, regardless of how much of their work takes place in a room littered with toys...at first read, I was laughing out loud which is rare...trust me!

http://www.lamebook.com/
The Original - Funny Facebook Statuses, Fails, LOLs and More...as if some of your own friends statuses weren't crazy enough, you will pee in your pants when you read these!

http://lmgtfy.com/ Let me Google that for you is for all those people who find it more convenient to bother you with their question rather than google it for themselves...you know who you are!

And then there is Vat19, http://www.vat19.com/ that really speaks to my curious and oftentimes non-traditional nature + how can you resist a site whose Philosphy is to present killer products with killer photography, killer video, and killer descriptions. Maybe that's overkill...nope and is that Bacon?!

http://www.cowbird.com/
Cowbird claims to be a simple tool for telling stories, and a public library of human experience.  I like how that sounds and it has a cool interface but it's still a closed community and you must request an invite to join...request sent and will keep you posted!

And for the little guys and girls in our lives, there is http://www.roblox.com,  a user-generated MMO gaming site for kids, teens, and adults. Players architect their own worlds and builders create free online games that simulate the real world.  All the characters look like they are straight out of Lego Land and you know the kids love that!

Clipboards mission is "to help you organize your online life."  I don't know about you but my online life is much messier than my offline life and so this, is perfect for me!

And because I went down this path researching for Innovative sites in the health care space, I would be remiss if I didn't mention http://www.zocdoc.com/
ZocDoc is a free service that allows patients to book doctor appointments online, I feel better just knowing it's out there for us!
Thank you Harry McCracken, your name alone makes me LOL!
