Yom Kippur confessions

I'm a bad Jew...
I say that not really knowing what a good Jew is but I'm guessing that I don't qualify.
I never go to synagogue...
I know very little about the religion even after years of Hebrew school...
I waver on the subject of god -who, what, where and even if...
What I am pretty good at, and may very  well redeem me in the eyes of the chosen people, is my love for family, fun and food and isn't that what life is all about?
Some may say that THAT is a religion on to itself so, on this day of atonement let's forgive and forget and believe in the religion of self and be the best self you can be!

Mother-Son Tradition!

Ever since Jacob was 5, he and I have been going to the Nutcracker and, although this year/last night he claimed that he's "kinda over it" I love that I get to share my love of the ballet with him.  Over shmover!

Extra! Extra!

Read All About It!
You know I'm a huge proponent of traveling with Kids so, when the Healthcare Marketer's Exchange asked me to write an article about our recent family trip to Portugal, I was ecstatic!
Not only did it allow me to relive our trip all over again but...oh just read it and let me know what you think!

The Weekend We Tried

To Do Nothing...
After a whirlwind or trips, parties and various other activities, we committed to doing nothing ala Seinfeld and Yadda Yadda Yadda, we couldn't pull it off.
It's only Saturday and since last night, we have done everything from bowling and dinner to 3 activities, discovering a new shopping mecca and making homemade pizza and martinis!
But you tell me, how delicious do these look?
and so simple!
Just take Trader Joes dough and kneed with a bit of flour...
Rub a bit of Olive Oil on both sides and cover top with Tomato Sauce...
Add your favorite toppings like Parmesan cheese, Anchovies (for me & Jacob) or Mushrooms...
and bake until golden brown or, about 15 min...
 Let cool and enjoy with...
 a side of...
A wonderFULL day...not that there is anything wrong with that!!
