My husband thinks I’m a Russian spy

and I kinda like it!
Why, do you ask? Well, it appears as if my memory pre-1998 has been somewhat erased and so most of what occurred prior to that year is mostly gone. Don’t get me wrong, some memories I’m happy to live without and some of you will know what those are while others, like who I went to high school with and who I traveled halfway around the world with I really want back! Thank god for social media outlets where you can search and find people from your past, reconnect and feel like you actually had a past. Today I learned that Pikesville High class of 1990, yes I remember the year I graduated, has a Facebook page. Good thing cuase I don’t remember the names of anyone I went to school with. This often leaves me out of the “Jewish geography” games that occur more often than I care for probably because I can’t participate. I also can’t take part in the college and camp memories and really, who can remember that far back?

Anyway, I’ve always wanted to be a spy so now I can play one in real life. If only I could develop a tolerance for Vodka, I will be all set. на здоровье!

Oh yeah one more thing, if we did go to school together, I would love to hear from you…you will be my alibi (-:

Be the coolest dad on the beach

In the 5 years that we’ve had our Margate beach house, no weekend is more anticipated than the one that Nina and Mike come for a visit. Yes it’s Mikes homemade guac and watermelon salad and yes, its Nina’s awesome ability to be the perfect guest but above all its Mike’s amazingly, awe inspiring sandcastles. Our friends and the entire Osborne beach community wait for the annual display that Mike so diligently and delicately handcrafts from the sand our kids normally pee on. Not really but who am I kidding, the beach never looks as good as when one of Mike’s creations is erected for all to OOO and AAA over like the fireworks on the 4th of July.
Now, his mastery can be had for a mere $1.49 on ebay so grab the complete guide to building amazing sand castles that includes 10 tips no one else will tell you and see if you too can be the coolest dad on the beach!

Any excuse to dress up

I’ll take any opportunity to get dressed up and with a closet full of evening dresses; I’m always at the ready. Above anything else, I love to buy eveningwear especially when I come across something I know no one else will have, something special and unique. This dress is no exception and I was excited to pull it out AGAIN for Celia’s Bat-Mitzvah. Jean Paul Gaultier dress from probably 10 collections ago and still one of my favorites.

Paired with my go-to stilettos by Roberto Cavalli that I scored in South Beach also a good 5 years ago.

Chanel bag, a gift from my awesome husband and vintage bracelets thanks to Great grandma Liza. Hair and make-up inspired by Kim Kardashian. I know, I shouldn’t admit that but I love the fauxhawk she sported to her pre-birthday celebration and had to replicate it.

To complete the look and the piece de resistance, the Chanel tattoo, could you die!? A woman at the party almost did and couldn’t stop taking pictures of my lower back! I love love it but how do I make it last?

Good thing I bought the full collection. So, all oldies but goodies but I think the look came together nicely, thoughts?
The Bat-mitzvah was a blast and how could it not be, the Russians know how to party. Bottles of Vodka and Petron on the tables, unlimited sushi and diamonds galore. Alexis Bittar made a huge showing with at least half the women at the party wearing his candy-colored Lucite and metallic jewels…great stuff.
Here I am with my biggest critic and fan, Jacob...he approved, hope you do too (-:
Mazel Tov Celia, great party and thanks for giving me an excuse to get all dolled up!

Feeling Hot-Hot-Hot

What's all the fuss about?

Yes, it's Summer and it's Sizzling HOT, but isn’t that what we’ve all been waiting for or, would you rather it be winter and Cold? Have we forgotten the misery that is winter and all that comes with it?

Not me! I'm loving this weather and, the fashions you can rock while barely dressed!

Check out the Chanel Cruise 2010/11 Ready-to-Wear show straight from St. Tropez and note the beige house with the double light blue doors in the background…yes, I spent a glorious 2 weeks living in that house but that’s another story for another post…censorship required (-:

Back to Chanel; Love the airy bohemian looks from this collection and especially love the accessories!

The sheer embellished caftans and suits, the chapeaus, the short shorts and the over-the-knee boots! Glad they’re back since I spend a fortune on my Stuart Weitzman’s last summer and would love to wear them again before they’re soo out and the next fad sets in.

Hate the high waist pants and the monotone silk numbers ala Pierrot...sorry Chanel but not your best look!

Enjoy summer styling and remember, you’re not sweating, you’re perspiring!
